Meet Kerri
Hi! Thank you for stopping by to visit! My name is Kerri and I started blogging in 2009 when my second daughter was born. Since then I have returned to teaching full time in the classroom but I still have a passion for blogging.
I love coffee, all things rustic, vintage, clean eating and simple living.

Thank You Jeanne!
It took me 10 days before I decided to post this picture of myself.
I realize this is the first picture I have ever posted of myself on my blog.
It took this post LOVE YOURSELF from jeanneoliverdesigns.com for me to realize I need to accept who I am.
And it was not easy.
I see so many of you ladies post the most beautiful pictures of yourselves and you are all so comfortable with it.
Not me.
So this is a baby step for me to come out of my comfort zone.
And I hope I am brave enough that I don't change my mind and erase this post!
After having two children and approaching 40, I realize I am not going to look like I did in my twenties.
And I need to accept that.
So I thank you Jeanne for your post!

God's Plans
Image from beaspastar.com
My life has taken me down several different paths.
I was single and a high school teacher until 7 seven years ago.
Then I met my husband and we had our two beautiful girls.
Now I am a stay at home mom. I will always be a mom.
Yet due to financial constraints, I will be working again soon.
Not as a teacher because I believe in my heart that is not where God wants me to be.
So I have been praying to God about what my plans are (among other things).
I am struggling with this, among other things.
But I trust God completely.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,...and He shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5)
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with MY eye." (Proverbs 32:8)
"The Lord will guide you continually... (Isiah 58:11)
"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall ive you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord...." (Psalms 37:4)
Are you where God wants you to be? I don't think God is ever done with our plans.
Life is one continuous journey and I am so glad I have you, my dear blogging friends, with me on this path.

Have Faith
Image from tinylovetreasures on etsy.
After five days of living with the stomach bug in our home, my husband and I decided to take our home back.
We lysoled everything, did several loads of laundr and opened all the windows.
Then we took the girls for a drive.
As we were driving, we drove by one of our local churches and the sign out front simply read:
HAVE FAITH
So few words, but such powerful words.
"Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be taken up and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Mark 11:22-26

A Big Thank You and Some Soup for The Soul
Everyone in my family (and I do mean everyone!)has had the stomach bug this weekend.
So, with the help from a little soup and alot of Gatorade, we are slowly feeling better!
And I want to thank the sweet and super talented Susan from Hometown Girl for passing on the Stylish Blogger Award to me!
I am supposed to tell you 7 things about me. I hope you are still here at the end of the list!
1. I was a high school teacher before becoming a stay at home mom with my girls two years ago.
2. I love our family vacation we take every summer to North Conway, NH. It is such a beautiful, clean and peaceful place.
3. I can't start my day without cinnamon hazelnut coffee.
4. I have a small addiction to HGTV. Especially House Hunters.
5. I really look forward to spring every year. I love the weather and the gorgeous flowers.
6. I really hope to meet some fellow bloggers some day.
7. I thank God every day for my two beautiful little girls.
I would like to pass this award to the lovely Lissa from Humble Pie. If you read her blog, you know that she is a beautiful person on the inside and outside.
XO,
Kerri

Craft-y Room Inspiration
I have the perfect space for a craft room (a.k.a The Woman Room) which is located across the hall from the Man Room.
It just needs a little (ok, alot) of tweaking.
And I found these craft rooms from rubyandbelle, shabby scraps and Heather Bailey to be so inspiring.
They are so inviting and inspiring.
Next up, I need to find the time to make the transformation.
